Research Interests
My research interests focus on preventive health behaviors and promoting positive health outcomes among BIPOC and underserved populations. More specifically, I am specifically focused on examining the challenges and opportunities that influence the stress and stigma associated with Black birthing people who are involuntarily childless reproductive journeys and capture their experiences with navigating medical and social support using survey and photovoice methodology. Identifying as both a basic and applied researcher, one of my goals is to bridge the gap between these domains. Ultimately, I am interested in translating basic, lab-based findings to applied real world settings related to reproductive health justice and advocacy.
